Treble Viol for Sale

Merion Attwood, 1993
£3800 incl Kingham case, but no bow.
The viol is currently strung entirely in gut, but this can be changed easily, depending on preference.
This treble is well worn and endured many years of professional use, having been dragged all over the world. As you can see on the pictures, some of the varnish almost looks antique now, having changed into a craquelee effect. It has been lovely to see it age like this and I feel that it adds to its character. It is a really beautiful instrument I fell in love with at the Early Music Exhibition in 1993. My first and only treble for 19 years!
